I just ordered a stencil. How long until I receive it?
Generally, from the day you place your order, it takes 7-10 business days to arrive at most domestic locations (often much sooner). Orders can take longer to arrive during the holidays or when there is a delay with the post office.

International orders generally take anywhere from 7-30 business days to arrive depending on how long it takes them to pass through customs.

Orders valued over $300 will require signature confirmation.

Due to PayPal's refund policy we are unable to issue refunds after 60 days. Please contact us if you think that your package is lost or if you would like to request a refund. 

Please understand that USPS or any other carrier is a third party service. We cannot be responsible for shipping delays or mistakes made by these carriers.

Cutting Edge Stencils cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience and/or loss of business profits because of delivery delays.

If you need expedited shipping, please call us at 201-828-9146 to get rates and delivery time estimates.

Any overnight orders must be placed before 12 PM EST.


You should receive an email from us with your tracking number once your order has shipped. Please check your spam filter to make sure you got this email. You can use this tracking number to check the status of your order anytime online.
I would like expedited shipping. Is this an option?
We do offer expedited shipping as long as we receive a phone call Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 12:00pm EST.

If you call after 12:00pm EST, we will not be able to expedite your package until the following day.

Can I change my order once it has been submitted?
We process accepted orders very promptly and are unable to change an order once you have received an order confirmation.  Before placing your order, please make sure that you have included everything you need as it's very difficult for us to make any changes (including altering the delivery address) once the order has been received by our system.

However, if you contact us immediately after placing the order, we can probably make the change(s) you request. Call us at 201-828-9146.

If the order has been processed or shipped, we regretfully cannot make any changes.
Can I return an item? What's your return policy?
Cutting Edge Stencils is dedicated to providing quality products and great customer service. You may return the item within 30 days from the date of purchase. If you would like to return an item, you must first contact us to let us know of your intention. 

Next, ship the unused, undamaged, and unopened item back to us.  Do not ship items using Media mail because it can take weeks to arrive and we can't issue a refund or exchange the item until we receive the original item from you. Please use original box or similar packaging to ensure that the stencil arrives in undamaged condition. Please DO NOT FOLD the stencil since it makes it unusable and we cannot issue a refund for it! Only ship us a rolled up stencil for return/exchange please.
Refunds are processed on Thursday and Friday every week.

Upon receipt of the unopened and unused goods, we will gladly refund your credit card or PayPal account for the full amount minus shipping charges and 10% restocking fee. Please allow 2 weeks for the refund amount to post to your original method of payment.

Returns made after 30 days will be processed with 20% restocking fee.

Due to PayPal's refund policy we are unable to issue refunds after 60 days. Please contact us immediately if you think that your package is lost or if you would like to request a refund. Thank You.

If you received a damaged or defective stencil from us, you may return it within 30 days for a full refund, including shipping fees or replacement.
I would like to return my stencil for an exchange. Is this possible?
You can definitely make an exchange in 30 days or less as long as the stencil(s) are returned in unused and undamaged condition. Please use an original box or similar packaging to ship back the stencil.
Please DO NOT FOLD the stencil since it makes it unusable and we cannot exchange it! Only ship us a rolled up stencil for return/exchange please.

We do not charge a restocking fee for exchanges but you are responsible for the return shipping and the shipping of the new order.
I would like to cancel my order. What do I do?
If you would like to cancel your order and it has NOT been shipped, just call us and we will gladly give you a full refund. Please call us as soon as possible after you have placed your order because we process and ship them quickly.

However, if your order has been already shipped, you will need to return it to us and there will be a 10% restocking fee deducted from your refund. We do not refund shipping fees. 
Domestic Shipping Policy
We have found the United States Postal Service to be the most efficient and least expensive way to ship our merchandise. Please understand that our stencils are made to order and so require a 2-3 business day handling time. Orders will begin to be processed on the next business day after you complete your order.

Once your order is handed over to USPS it takes approximately 4-7 business days for the order to be delivered. Kindly note that if the carrier experiences transit delays it may add to the above mentioned time frame.

If you need to expedite your order please contact our office at (201) 828-9146 prior to placing your order. We are more than happy to see what shipping options are available for you. Please note that express orders need to be placed before 12pm EST for shipment the day of. Kindly note we are based and ship from New Jersey and so please be mindful of the time difference depending on where you are calling from in the United States.

Any orders value more than $300 will require signature confirmation. Please understand that USPS or any other carrier is a third party service. We cannot be responsible for shipping delays or mistakes made by these carriers. Also, if we have shipped your order and confirmed delivery to the address you have provided and you cannot locate the package, it is not our responsibility. We are happy to ship your order with signature confirmation if you suspect your package could be lost or stolen. Just leave us a note in the "comments" box at checkout and we'd be happy to add signature confirmation at no charge. You can also place your order over the phone by calling 201-828-9146 and add signature confirmation at this time.

If you provide us with the wrong shipping address and the package is returned to us marked "Refused/Unclaimed" we will need to send you an invoice to cover the re-shipment costs. Once we receive payment and your revised address we will promptly re-ship your order. Canadian Shipping Policy
We are happy to say that in January of 2015 we started using Purolator as the default shipping method to Canada! By using this service, we are able to provide a shipping time of 10 business days or less depending on the where the package is going to within Canada. Please note that all Canadian orders leave our warehouse on Tuesdays of every week; this may be subject to change due to inclement weather and/or holidays. This service to our Canadian customers comes at a more economic price in comparison to USPS and other carriers.

This service also allows us to cover the customs tariffs that Canadian packages are subject to and so you will not be responsible or subject to additional fees!

Please understand that Purolator is a third party service, and thus, certain delays may take place that are out of our control. In our experience, however, Purolator does a great job at delivering packages to our Canadian customers very quickly, and we hope you like the service that they provide.Shipping costs to Canada are as follows:

International Shipping Policy
Cutting Edge Stencils is happy to offer worldwide shipping for our international customers! The international shipping carrier we use for most international countries is TNT, however, depending on the ship to country some orders may be shipped via USPS International Priority Mail. Please understand that all shipping carriers are third party services, and thus, certain delays may take place that are out of our control. When the label is generated you will be receiving a tracking number for transit updates.

Generally, the delivery time is approximately 7-14 business days. Please note that all international orders leave our warehouse on Thursdays of every week; this may be subject to change due to inclement weather and/or holidays. Delivery time depends on how the entering country handles and process the duties and taxes on the entering packages. Some countries collect Duties and Taxes prior to the delivery of the package and other countries collect these fees at a later date, in an effort for speedy deliveries.

Duties and Tax Fees: Please note that international shipments are subject to Duties and Taxes which vary from country to country. These fees are determined by the entering countries custom and border patrol and are fees that are out of our control. Please note that these charges are the customer’s responsibility and are not included in the shipping cost.

The purpose of Customs Duty fees is to protect each country's economy, residents, jobs, environment, etc., by controlling the flow of goods, especially restrictive and prohibited goods, into and out of the country. Please know that we do not set these charges as they are purely Governmental Charges. We strongly suggest checking your country's customs policy before placing your order with us.

When placing your order please be sure to provide your full physical address along with a contact phone number in the event the carrier needs to contact your for delivery purposes. Making sure your address is full and correct will help ensure that your package arrives without any delays. Are instructions included with my order?
Each stencil comes packaged with detailed stenciling instructions complete with color photos. We also offer free "How to Stencil" videos on our Home page http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/how-to-stencil-videos.html which we encourage you to view before you begin your project.

Some stencils have illustrated instructions listed on the product page as well.
Do you have a retail store in my area and can I pick up my order?
Cutting Edge Stencils is primarily an online store. If you are in the Northern New Jersey area and would like to pick up your stencil order, please call us in advance so we can have your selection available and ready for pickup.

Please note that all pickups must be made Monday - Thursday from 9:15 am - 4:30 pm and Fridays 9:15 am - 12:30 pm .

Do you offer a trade discount for designers and decorative painters?
Cutting Edge Stencils makes every effort to keep our prices as low as possible, therefore we do not offer a special trade discount for designers and decorative painters.

We do, however, run frequent sales that everyone should take advantage of! If you sign up for our newsletter on our Home page, you will be notified when we are having our next sale.

Do you create custom stencils?
Within certain size limitations, we can enlarge or reduce the sizes of our pre-existing designs. Due to the fact that these stencils are custom-sized to the customers particular preference and needs, the sales of these stencils are final and not eligible for returns or refunds.Please note that production time for custom stencils vary based on the design. For inquiries on custom stencils please contact our office at (201) 828-9146 during our business hours.

We do not create custom stencils from outside sources at this time, but we would love to hear your input about stencils you would like to see offered in the future. Feel free to send an image as inspiration!
Do you have a printed catalog?
We do not have a catalog at this time. We are frequently adding new stencils to our inventory so it would be very difficult to maintain an updated catalog for our customers.
