Are wall stencils easier than wallpaper?

Unlike wallpaper, stenciling does not require paste or professional installation. Apply paint through the stencil openings with a brush or roller, then reposition the stencil to repeat the pattern. If you want to change the look later, simply paint over the design. 

What paint works best for wall stencils?

Interior latex or acrylic paint works well for most wall stenciling projects. For crisp edges, load your brush or roller lightly and remove excess paint before applying it through the stencil. For a tone-on-tone effect, you can experiment with different sheens over the same base color. 

How long does it take to stencil an accent wall?
