2. Choose the right surface
For furniture stenciling, the flexibility and thickness of the stencil material is more important than it is on flat walls. Look for a laser-cut Mylar stencil that is at least 10 mil thick. Thicker Mylar lays flat across surfaces, holds its shape through repeated use, and bends around edges and curved furniture surfaces without tearing.
