There are so many ways to use stencils on and off the wall. If you want designer décor in your home but can’t afford designer prices, stencils are the perfect solution. Oh yeah, and they’re easy too! 1. Throw Pillows: This weekend should called “out with the old and in with the new”. And stencils are great way to upcycle the old. It’s easy to use stencils to recycle old tacky pillows into new trendy home décor. There are a variety of craft stencils to choose from to make your mixing and matching easy. 2. Lamp Shade: You know those old thrift store lampshades that you bought thinking you’d instantly turn them into something fabulous, but you never took the time to. Well now is the time to do it and I’ve got the how- to! The following lamp shade was once a major dud before a stencil savvy DIYer got her hands on it! 3. Rug: A cool, fun way to tie your room together is by stenciling your throw rug! If you are looking to drop some subtle modern design in your home without revamping your walls or completely transforming your room, rugs are a good way to go. Funky, bold throw rugs can be a helpful way to spruce up any room quickly and inexpensively! The Idea Room added a bit of yellow sunshine to the all-white bathroom with the Anna Damask stenciled rug. 4. Wall Art: Can’t paint on your wall because you are a renter or you don’t want to make the commitment? Buy some cheap canvases and create a trendy triptych.
