Stencils Are The Perfect Way To Add A Splash of Gold To Your Nursery
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends. Move over gray because you’ve got some competition in the nursery! We have seen the color gold popping up in nursery decor for quite some time and we love it. Wall stencils make adding this trendy hue to your nursery easy and inexpensive. Here are two gold stenciled nursery ideas to spark your imagination.
We’d like to introduce you to Tiffany, the loving Mama of three children and blogger behind Crazy Beautiful Life. Tiffany and her husband have two adorable little boys when they found out they were expecting a baby girl. Needless to say, they were beyond thrilled. She started planning the nursery for her little bundle of joy. Tiffany wanted to put a lot of hand-crafted love into the space using DIY projects. Her goal was to incorporate items from her and her husband’s childhood. She chose a white, gold and petal pink color scheme to create a pretty yet stylish nursery. To add some visual interest to her nursery, she chose to paint an accent wall behind the crib. Tiffany browsed our website and selected our Rabat Allover Stencil, a popular Moroccan inspired wall pattern. The walls were painted white and she painted the stencil pattern in Metallic Gold. Tiffany used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern. She commented, ” I love the end result and kinda want to stencil walls in every room. ” Once the stencil was complete she painted her childhood crib gold and dressers pink. Her mother sewed the crib bedding and matching curtains. Tiffany had this to say about her nursery, “I love how there are so many special things in her room. I honestly just love everything about it!”
We’d like to introduce you to Crystal O., one of our creative fans and the mama of baby Kerrigan. She also chose a pink and gold color scheme for her daughter’s nursery. Rather than use wallpaper, Crystal chose to use a wall stencil to create a patterned accent wall. She browsed our stencil collections and chose the Rabat Allover Stencil. Then she painted her walls a sweet shade of bubble gum pink. Crystal used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern in Ralph Lauren Metallic Gold paint. Once the stencil was complete, she added ruffled bedding and hand crafted the flower wall initial and tissue paper puffs.
