Do not worry about perfect placement. Our wall pattern kits are designed in such a forgiving way that placement by eye still produces great results. Just randomly place your first stencil, grab your foam roller or stencil brush, and let's go!

You can start with leaves or with the jaguar stencils, it's up to you.

Jaguar stencil has 2 overlays, and can be stenciled in 2 ways: using just a single layer with spots for a more graphic look, or more realistically, using both stencil layers. If you prefer the multi-color look, (pictured), you'll need to start with the 1st layer: a head outline. Paint entire head shape in burnt orange and yellow ochre colors using a dense foam stencil roller or a large stencil brush. Always get rid of excess paint prior to painting, by rolling the foam roller over a folded paper towel.  Don't press on the roller too hard otherwise you might get some bleed. Let it dry, it should not take long as you are not using a lot of paint. Then, place a second overlay of the Jaguar stencil and fill in the details of the face and spots with black paint using a roller or a stencil brush.  

Next, place the tropical leaf stencil of your choice, place it on the wall by eye, trying to keep a similar distance between repeats, or overlapping them if desired. Please use our photos as reference to help you with placement. Just step back and see where your next repeat should be. You can space the designs tightly or loosely, depending on personal preference, both ways it will look stunning. In a way, there is no making a mistake with these forgiving free-form wall stencil patterns!

If you wish to preview your stencil placement, first position pieces of blue tape on the wall and adjust them until you're happy. Then, grab your roller and stencil away!

It took us less than 1 hour to stencil 8x15' wall using a Wall Pattern Kit, and it was lots of fun, too!
