Don't Neglect Your Hallway

Stenciling A Hallway With The Anna Damask Stencil From Cutting Edge Stencils

Happy Monday, my DIY lovelies! It is makeover Monday here at Cutting Edge Stencils and today we're not really making over a room but rather an area in the house that connects our rooms. Any guesses? If you said the hallway then you nailed it! We said in this stenciled hallway post and we'll say it again, hallways are often neglected in the home. It's understandable, since we walk through them but we don’t typically spend a great deal of time in them. We're going to show you how one DIY blogger transformed her drab hallway into something fab using stencils!

Let's meet Jami, a decorating enthusiast and creative DIYer behind the blog Freckled Laundry, and admire her hallway makeover featuring one of our damask wall stencils. Are you curious about what she started with? Well here is Jami's beige hallway before the makeover (she had just started to prime it when she remembered to snap a picture). A hallway before it was painted and stenciled using a Cutting Edge Stencils. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/damask-stencil Jami had neglected her hallway. It was all beige with a huge hole in the wall that needed to be repaired. She was tired of walking through the dreary mess and decided to give it a makeover. Jami opted for stenciling using a white on grey color combination. She selected the Anna Damask Stencil because of its vintage chic design that worked well with her home decor style. Here she is working through the stenciling process. Jami used blue painters tape to hold her stencil on the wall and our Clip-On Stencil Level to ensure it was straight. Then she painted the damask pattern using a foam roller. You can read her stenciling how-to at the DIY Club. It has really come a long way. The Anna Damask Stencil pattern is subtle yet oh-so flattering to the space. Jami had this to say about her newly stenciled space, "It’s so much brighter and airy, and finally reflects my style." We're so happy that she loves her stenciled hallway! Jami's final words on the whole project are, "The moral of this story is: Don’t neglect your hallway. Treat it like any other space in your home." We totally agree! See, we told you that a pretty stencil pattern and a fresh coat of paint can brighten any dull, neglected hallway! So tell us what you think, would you stencil your hallway?
