A Wall Pattern Decorates A Bohemian Inspired Girl’s Nursery
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! If you’ve fallen for the tribal meets bohemian nursery trend, then you are going to adore this stenciled nursery! Stencil patterns are a great way to introduce pattern and texture to a nursery and they are much more affordable than using wallpaper. Today, we’re sharing a little girl’s beautiful nursery featuring the Drifting Arrows Allover Stencil.
We’d like to introduce Kristina, a creative fan and soon-to-be loving mama to a baby girl. Kristina and her husband were super excited to hear they were expecting a little girl! They had a spare bedroom that they planned to make the nursery. Here is what the space looked like when they started the nursery project:
Kristina took to Pinterest right away searching for ideas and was drawn to tribal and bohemian style decor. She wanted to create a nursery that was both peaceful, serene, and stylish. The preferred color combination was off-white, gold, and gray. With her inspiration in hand, Kristina decided to add a wall pattern behind the crib. She browsed our large collection of tribal stencils and selected the Drifting Arrows Stencil. This herringbone meets arrows design is one of our geometric stencils and is perfect for adding subtle pattern to a nursery wall.
Kristina gathered up her materials for the project and she was ready to start stenciling.
Her husband helped her with the project and together they painted the walls a creamy off-white hue using Sherwin Williams White Cottage. For the arrow stencil she used Divine Color Metals in Devine Karat, a metallic gold hue. She poured the paint into a plastic tray.
Then she rolled her dense foam roller into the paint and off rolled excess paint on a piece of paper towel. Too much paint on the roller will cause it to bleed under the stencil.
Kristina used blue painter’s tape to hold the stencil design in place and then rolled the paint over the pattern.
After each section was complete, she would untape the stencil and reposition to finish the pattern on the accent wall. For more information on how to stencil, we recommend viewing our stencil tutorials.
After the accent wall was stenciled, Kristina decorated her nursery with tribal inspired decor items. Are you ready to see how Kristina’s tribal nursery vision came to life? Here is the stenciled nursery.
Kristina had this to say about the stencil project, ” I am so in love with this space and I love how the stenciled accent wall turned out! ”
We can totally see that Kristina poured all her love into this adorable nursery. The stenciled arrow wall pattern acts a backdrop for this beautiful, handmade flower mobile.
