Stenciling A Little Girl’s Room With The Charlotte Allover Stencil From Cutting Edge Stencils
Welcome back, my DIY mommies! So you have a little princess and now you’re trying to sweep her off her feet by creating the perfect fairytale bedroom. Cutting Edge Stencils totally gets it and we are here to help you add that stenciled princess charm you’ve been seeking.
Let’s welcome back our friend Lori, the super crafty mama and DIYer behind the blog Vintage Charm Restored. Do you remember the turquoise Herringbone stenciled vanity that she painted?
It’s pretty gorgeous isn’t it? Well Lori has been back at it again, and this time she gave her daughter’s room a stenciled makeover using our Charlotte Allover Stencil. Lori had been wanting to update Mia’s room because it felt like something was missing. After reading about how other bloggers have successfully painted their subfloors, she decided to pull up the carpet and attempt to stencil the floor. Unfortunately, after she pulled it up, she found out the flooring wasn’t smooth and therefore she couldn’t stencil it. Yikes! Don’t panic, we told you Lori is super crafty, right? She decided to stencil the wall instead. Here is Lori’s space before the makeover. You can see she had already ripped up the carpet and tested out the paint on the floor.
Close your eyes because we’re ready for the BIG reveal! Here is Lori’s super sweet little girl’s room after its makeover. So adorable! We love the look of the Charlotte‘s lace-like pattern behind that charming vintage-style dresser. Lori had this to say about her newly stenciled space, “Now our sweet Mia has a room that’s fit for a princess!!” We’re so happy that she loves her stenciled space!
But wait, do you see what we see? Yup, that’s a stenciled floor. So Lori ended up using beadboard on the floor. A little unconventional, but it was within her budget. Then similar to the wall, she painted the Charlotte Allover pattern in Benjamin Moore’s coastal fog and highlighted the centers with Modern Masters Oyster. She says, “I love how it turned out!”
PS. Lori has an awesome $50 stencil giveaway taking place on her blog, Vintage Charm Restored, right now. Go enter for a chance to win!
