Wall Stencils Can Create An Unforgettable Nursery Accent Wall

Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends. If you are looking for nursery inspiration for your little bundle of joy then you have come to the right spot!  Stencil patterns are the perfect way to add pattern and texture to your nursery to achieve a wallpaper look without the hassle.  Today we’re going to share a stylish dark purple and teal nursery that is sure to inspire.

We’d like to introduce you to Julie, the loving Mama of two adorable little girls and the fitness blogger behind Julie Przybyla, Mom RD.  When Julie and her husband found out they were expecting their second baby girl, they were beyond thrilled. She started planning the nursery for her little bundle of joy.  Traditional pastel baby colors do not really appeal to her. For her first daughter, she had created a nursery based on a purple and green color scheme.  She still loves the rich colors and stylish look so she wanted a similar feel for her second daughter.

Julie settled on a deep purple and teal color scheme for her super stylish nursery. Once she had a color scheme in mind, she started putting together the rest of the pieces of her nursery. Her goal was to incorporate a subtle wall pattern into the space. To create the perfect nursery, she chose to paint an accent wall behind the crib.  She chose our Venetian Scroll Allover Stencil a trendy scroll inspired wall pattern.

She painted the wall in Midnight from Sherwin Williams, a deep shade of purple.  Then stenciled the scroll pattern in the gloss version of the same color.  She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern.  After the walls were painted, Julie added some teal decor accessories.  Are you ready for the big reveal?  Here is Julie’s stylish nursery.
