Cutting Edge Stencils Featured In This Old House and HGTV Magazine
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends. Our stencils have been spotted in two home publications, This Old House and HGTV Magazine. We were very excited to see two popular home decor publications featuring easy DIY ideas for using stencils to create DIY home decor. Come see how the Resonance Wall Stencil. and the Kuba Chevron Allover Stencil are making headlines as we take a look at the details of these recent stencil sightings.
Resonance Stenciled Wall Art
Do you have the January/February issue of HGTV Magazine in your hands? Well if you do, please flip to page 56. In the article titled, Fill A Wall With Art You Make Yourself, the publication shows how easy it is to create DIY masterpieces.
Example number eight, really catches our eye. This show-stopper piece of wall art uses our Resonance Wall Stencil.
Simply cut a piece of indigo-color rice paper into a large square. Then place the stencil on the paper and hold it in place with either painter’s tape or repositionable spray adhesive. Use a stencil brush to paint the pattern. For this project, the geometric design was painted using Wedding Cake by Martha Stewart Crafts.
Kuba Chevron Stenciled Laundry Room Curtain
But wait, our magazine news doesn’t end there. We also spotted one of our stencils used for a super creative DIY project in the Idea House 2015, Cottage at Cloudland Station. This Old House Magazine introduced a small house that boasts big style their first built-from-the-ground-up Idea House. They built this Idea House at Cloudland Station, a Southern Living Inspired Community in Chickamauga, Georgia.
So exactly how does a small house have big style? Just off the mudroom, floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the laundry room keep things tidy.
The functional yet compact laundry room contains a Moen sink and faucet for easy hand-washing tasks. The designer for this space also painted an under the sink laundry room curtain using our Kuba Chevron Allover Stencil. Inside the cabinet is painted a vibrant green.
Cute and clever, don’t you think?
