Great--but not perfect
"This is a beautiful design and easy to overlap the patterns to make sure everything stays ordered and level. However, nothing I did (prep with base coat, use recommended wall adhesive, press edges down to try create a seal, multiple thin coats vs one thicker coat) would prevent seepage! I used flat paint as recommended, and the wall was not textured. I have been touching up the edges with the base coat to create the crisp lines I want, it's just a putzy process. Now, I knew this would be a detail orientated project when I started! So the touch-ups are not why I gave the product 4 stars (I just want to caution others that it is not as quick and easy as the tutorials make it look AND give yourself plenty of time and grace with this project if you trend towards perfectionism). I gave 4 stars because after about 4 uses the stencil started to rip/tear when I pulled it off the wall! On the fifth application the stencil pulled up some of the base paint with it! :( that was disappointing, but I think I can fix it by layering lots of levels of base paint in the holes, sanding with fine grip sandpaper, and hand-painting the missing stencil parts. The base coat had weeks to dry, so this wasn't a fresh paint issue. I'm going to try deep clean the stencil (only used spray adhesive on it twice, so there shouldn't have been a build up, but just in case!) And order a new stencil if that doesn't work. If I attempt a stencil project again I will start with at least two stencils to speed up the process. Tl;dr. Seepage is inevitable, this is a time-comsuming and detail orientates peoject, and stencils are not as reusable/durable as I hoped."
