can I do this on floor that is not smooth?
Hi Lynda! Texture is not ideal for stenciling, but in some instances it can be done. If you want to send me a picture of your floor to customerservice@cuttingedgestencils.com I can take a look at it and see if we can help you out! Thank you! -Erika
How does this hold up over time?
Hi Joslynn! It should hold up just fine! She recommends sealing the stencil to ensure longevity and we do too! You can go to your local hardware store and see what they recommend! Hope this helps! -Erika
Hello
Which brand did you use? and is it water resistant?
Hello,
This project is not ours so we are not sure what brand she used. She does however recommend sealing the stencil to ensure longevity so this will help with the water. I would recommend going to your local hardware store and asking them what they recommend. Hope this helps! -Erika

What size brush is recommended for stenciling a floor?
Hi Tiera,
Thank you for contacting us. It really depends on the size of the stencil you are using. We do offer brushes that range from 1″-2″. Any of those can work! I wouldn’t recommend using anything smaller just because it can be very time consuming. The smaller brushes are for more detailed areas and corners. I do hope this helps!

Can you stencil laminate and/or vinyl flooring?
Hi Laura,
This project will work on any type of flooring. We do recommend using a primer like STIX before painting on laminate or vinyl flooring just because of its naturally slick surface. Paint usually will not stick directly to the a slick surface like that. So if you prime first it allows for a nice porous base to work with!
Was your tile a true 12×12? Mine is 11 1/4 x 12…..
Hi Ashleigh,
Her tiles are true 12×12. We do create custom sizes though if you would need. You can give us a call at (201) 828 9146 to discuss.
I do hope this helps!
