Stencils Make Crafting For The Holidays Easy and Fun
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! We love the idea of using stencils to decorate for the Holidays. So we were super excited when Stephanie, from Casa Watkins said she was interested in another stenciled craft challenge!
What is the Create & Share: Holiday Stenciled Craft Challenge? Each month Stephanie holds a Create & Share competition where she challenges her super creative blogger pals to a friendly little craft-off. This month they chose to partner with Cutting Edge Stencils using our Holiday Craft Stencils. Each participant was tasked with creating a unique home decor project. The projects are in and the results are full of Holiday cheer! Be sure to check out the DIY projects and enter the special stencil giveaway.
This week we will be sharing the projects on our blog and providing links to all of the participating bloggers so feel free be inspired by their creativity.
Project #1: Noel Stenciled Planter Basket
Let’s welcome back Stephanie, the crafty blogger behind Casa Watkins. She had a little white woven basket that she had picked up at Target over the Summer. With a little bit of stencil love it would be perfect for her holiday decor. She selected our Noel Script Craft Stencil for her project. Check out her blog to see how she did it. Stephanie had this to say about her project, ” My Noel stenciled planter basket has become a lovely addition to our entryway shelf.”
Project #2: Rustic Stenciled Reindeer Crate
Meet Sara, the awesome crafty blogger behind Shabby Grace Blog. Sara loves having real Christmas trees, big and small, throughout her home. She decided to paint and stencil a rustic little wooden crate to hold one of her small Christmas trees. For the project she purchased a wooden crate from Michaels and selected our Reindeer Craft Stencil. Sara had this to say about her finished project, ” I love how the rustic/distress look matches the concept of him “hanging off” the crate. It turned out perfectly. ” We love the endless possibilities of a stenciled wooden crate.
Project #3: Fancy Christmas Tree Stenciled Accent Pillow
We’d like to welcome back Ruthie, the creative DIY blogger behind Refashionably Late. Ruthie has been bitten by the stenciling bug because she now is crafting stenciled accent pillows. Ruthie selected the Fancy Christmas Tree Stencil accent pillow kit along with a white pillow cover. She painted the playful tree pattern in bright colorful hues like magenta, turquoise, and yellow. She commented, “I typically don’t use bright colors with my holiday decor but I thought it would be fun to make something a little different so that it would stand out from my other decorations!” Check out her blog to see how she added some sparkle to this colorful Christmas project and be sure to enter our stencil giveaway.
