Stencils Galore featured in Do It Yourself Magazine!
We’re beginning to think DIY Magazine has a little CRUSH on Cutting Edge Stencils; and we’ve got to say, we certainly do not mind the attention! The Spring 2013 issue features two very versatile stencils: the Allium Grande and Aladdin Allover! But don’t worry, we’re not getting big egos; we’re just starting to blush a little! FYI, we’ve totally been checkin’ out DIY Magazine, too, from head to toe (cover to back page), and we can’t wait to tell you the 411 on what they’ve said about us this time!
Allium Grande Stenciled Drum Light
What a great reason to look up! Our friends at DIY Mag are so craftily creative that they actually made a pendant light out of a vintage wooden drum! I mean, I’m admittedly not clever enough to come up with something so innovative, but I’m sure as hell glad someone was! This drum light features Cutting Edge Stencils’ Allium Grande pattern, which gives the home decor piece even more oomph and flair, if that was actually possible! Together with the repurposing and stenciled design, this drum got a new life, new home, and brand spanking new style!
Curious about the patterns in the rest of the room? That big, bright bouquet of Peonies adds a POP of pink to accent such a blue room. But get this! Cutting Edge Stencils offers Peony Stencil designs to paint on your walls and home decor! The Peony Allover, Peony Stencil Kit, and Peony Grande are all gorgeous floral options! Another design similar to ours is the white pattern on the doors of the blue chest. It looks like it could be the long lost twin of our Herringbone Stencil! DIY Mag sure knows how to layer patterns!
Aladdin Feature Wall
From pendant lights to bright ideas! Cutting Edge Stencils’ Aladdin Allover wall stencil was used to demonstrate how a bright pattern on the walls can bring energy and bold style to a plain Jane room! To get this look, DIY Mag used pink interior latex paint in a flat finish as the base, background color of the wall. They then stenciled the Aladdin design with a high-gloss tangerine paint! And POOF; this striking feature wall was born! When a wall is so powerfully bold, the home decor pieces placed inside should not fight the look, but compliment it! That’s why the rest of the room is white and subdued! We’re in awe, aren’t you?
