Stenciling A Hallway With The Birch Forest Stencil From Cutting Edge Stencils
Happy Monday, my DIY lovelies! It is makeover time at Cutting Edge Stencils and today we’re going to be taking a look at transforming a tiny nook into a cozy charmer. How often do you walk past a small nook in your home and completely dismiss the thought of decorating it? Small spaces are easy to ignore so we certainly understand. Today’s post will hopefully inspire us all to look at those areas a little differently. Let’s see how one DIY blogger transformed her plain hallway nook into something fabulous!
Let’s say hello to our pal Ashley, the creative DIYer behind the blog Domestic Imperfection. Do you remember her jaw-dropping gorgeous Indian Inlay stenciled table?
We thought so! How could anyone forget that piece, it’s so pretty. Well Ashley has been back at it again, and this time she gave her hallway nook a makeover using our Birch Forest Wall Stencil. Are you curious about what she started with? Well here is Ashley’s small hallway before the makeover. This is what it looked like after they painted it when they first moved into the house.
Since it’s a small space, Ashley wanted to have some fun with its design to make it pop more. She did have to keep in mind that this nook can be seen from all the main parts of the house. So it had to pop and mesh all at the same time. This was quite a challenge! Luckily for Ashley she spotted our Birch Forest Stencil in Jen’s playroom over at I Heart Organizing. With our Birch Forest pattern in hand, Ashley was ready to go. First she painted the hallway white and then she stenciled the nature-inspired pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore’s urban nature AF-440.
Here is Ashley’s absolutely stunning hallway nook after its makeover. WOWZA, it sure has come a long way! The Birch Forest Wall Stencil pattern adds just the right amount of eye-catching interest to the space. Ashley had this to say about her newly stenciled space, “I think it’s really fun without being overwhelming.” We’re so happy that she loves her stenciled hallway nook!
After all the stenciling was complete, Ashley added her decor elements. We love watching a project come together. It turns out that her husband, Adam, built that bench so they could put it at the end of the dining room table for large gatherings. Since she didn’t want to store it in the dining room, she placed it in this nook. Looks pretty good doesn’t it? Then she added some simple accessories like the mirror and the pillows to complete the look!
