English Ivy Stencil Kit 3 pc
Our English Ivy stencil kit is all you need to quickly add lush green to your
murals, frescoes or painted pergolas. Free-form stenciling allows for
a great
flexibility and creativity. You can follow the contours of doorways and
arches with your Ivy, or create a stenciled border at the perimeter of the room.
You
can even paint an elegant Ivy wreath around the chandelier! Perfect for DIY wall decor.
Simply position your stencils with pieces of blue tape, roll with foam roller and add some shading for tips and bottoms of leaves. We like using Olive green acrylics for true ivy color, but adding some ochre and rusty red shades here and there make the ivy really beautiful. For modern silhouette look simply roll the ivy stencil in solid colors to create a bold accent.

We find that it is not necessary to use spray adhesive withour stencils ,
however if you want very crisp edges or are using high contrasting
colors, please use it (Elmer's spray adhesive
seems
to be the best). On the pictures above I didn't use spray adhesive and
still got nice and crisp edges. The trick with stenciling is to take
care not to
over-load your roller or brush with
paint and not to press too hard on a roller while stenciling. I
personally
prefer just to use blue painter's tape to secure the stencil, but for
beginners I would recommend using spray adhesive just to make sure you
get
great results.
