The Rabat Allover Stencil design size Large was used on the walls of this beyond lovely dining room, which was eloquently decorated by Jennifer Curtis from the blog Always in Wonder. Read on to find out how to create the gorgeous interior design for your home!
Jennifer painted both the walls and ceiling of her room with an Ultra-White semi-gloss paint to start. Once that dried, she attached her Rabat Allover Stencil to the wall using painter’s tape and our clip-on stencil level to ensure a straight design! Jennifer then rolled her dense foam roller into the paint she used to make her stencil design. Jennifer describes this paint, called Alpaca Yarn from Dutch Boy, as “a muddy, gray-brown color.” Once she blotted the excess paint off on a paper towel to prevent bleeding, Jennifer got to stenciling!
She decided to use two coats of Alpaca Yarn on her wall. After stenciling the first coat, Jennifer used a recommended blow dryer technique to individually dry each stenciled section for only 30 seconds before she painted the second coat! This is a much faster alternative to waiting for the paint to dry on its own and is also much less messy than painting over a wet coat! Smart thinking, Jennifer, and amazing job painting this room!
