Stenciled Rooms Using Benjamin Moore’s Favorite Brown Paint Colors
Good Morning, my color enthusiasts! What do espresso, roasted chestnuts, and cinnamon toast, all have in common? Aside from the fact that they could all warm the taste buds on a chilly winter day, they’re also deliciously rich and inviting brown hues. Cutting Edge Stencils is a huge fan of the color brown. Its shades can range from surprisingly neutral to seriously dramatic and it pairs perfectly with our stencil patterns. Kim Myles nailed it when she said, “Valentine’s Day is getting close, so why don’t we get prepped with this rich chocolate room…”
Now that you’ve been struck by Cupid’s brown arrow, let’s talk about choosing the right brown! Our friends over at Benjamin Moore have been oh-so helpful because they have highlighted their five favorite brown paint colors. And it gets even better. We’ve matched them up to some of our favorite stenciled spaces to give you an idea of what it might look like in your home! Let’s take a look…
Amanda, one of our fab Instagram fans, painted this gorgeous accent wall using our Zamira Allover Stencil and a rich shade of brown similar to carob AF-160. This stylish chocolate hue evokes the feeling of a warm hot cuppa cocoa on a chilly winter day. It’s warm, inviting, and pairs perfectly with this intricate Moroccan stencil. Do you love it or do you love it?
Wendy, one of our creative stenciling fans, painted this gorgeous bedroom. This space is super chic because of her color combination and our Rabat Allover Stencil! Wendy started with a base coat of meadow mist 936 on her wall. Then she stenciled the trendy Moroccan pattern in fresh brew 1232, a dramatic brown with red undertones. She added some complimentary pops of blue and silver to complete her warm retreat.
Liz, the DIY mastermind behind the blog Hoosier Homemade, stenciled wall art for her home. First she painted her square canvas a decadent shade of brown, similar to french press AF-170. Then she stenciled the African Kuba Craft pattern in a soft green like silver sage 506. The color combination and tribal print are sure to add a touch of glamour to any space!
