Cutting Edge Stencils Shares Stenciled Nursery Ideas
Good morning, my stencil lovin’ mamas and papas. Some might call it spring fever but Cutting Edge Stencils is calling it baby fever. Especially since we’ve heard that the summer months are the most popular birth months. So with all those little ones on the way, it makes perfect sense for the expecting parents to be designing their dream nursery. Need some inspiration? Have no fear! Today, we’re gonna share some stylish stenciled nurseries that could be perfect for your little bambino!
Zamira Stenciled Nursery
We’d like you meet the proud mama of a baby girl, who has nicknamed herself Cwall22. She posted this turquoise, coral, and gray nursery on the popular children’s design site, Project Nursery. Cwall22 describes herself as a “very modern rustic and country chic” type of person with a passion for neutral colors. So when it came time to design her baby girl’s nursery, she stepped outside her comfort zone and selected some bold hues and an intricate pattern. She first fell in love with the idea of stenciling after spotting stenciled spaces on Pinterest. She loved how they enhanced the decor of a space and made a statement. First she painted the nursery a gray, similar to Benjamin Moore’s graytint 1611 and then she stenciled our Zamira Allover Stencil in a white, similar to Benjamin Moore’s cloud white OC-130. Cwall22 had this to say about her stenciled project, “I absolutely love the hand painted stencil on the walls. It adds such a pop, and in a neutral gray it was easy to coordinate with any color.” She says a little paint works magic and we totally have to agree!
Leopard Skin Stenciled Nursery
Next up, we want you to meet Emily, the proud mama to Kennedy and the creative DIYer behind the blog What Emily Does. When Emily found out she was having a baby girl, she started designing the nursery of her dreams. She put together a mood board which included a beautiful Charcoal Dots wallpaper by Spoonflower that cost $60 for one roll. Emily quickly calculated that she would need about $265 worth to complete one accent wall. Ouch! Rather than walk away from the dream nursery, Emily found our Leopard Skin Allover stencil which had a similar look. The wall had been painted a white similar to Benjamin Moore’s simply white OC-117 and then she stenciled the wild spot pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore’s black panther 2125-10. She had this to say about her project, “I am thrilled with how the stenciled wall turned out.”
