Stencils Can Easily Spruce Up Your Outdoor Space
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils fans. Sprucing up your deck, patio, or entrance just got an inspirational boost, thanks to these outdoor stencil projects that you can do yourself. Before you toss aside that old outdoor table or beat-up doormat, wait to see what we have planned. These ideas are simple, stylish and super inexpensive! Come check out our two outdoor projects.
We’d like to introduce Vicki, the creative DIYer and Hometalk #Shareathon participant. Vicki had an old outdoor patio table that was in desperate need of a makeover. She browsed our large stencil collection and chose the Maloca Wall Art Stencil. This large pattern was inspired by the tribal Malocas of the Amazon and is perfect for furniture updates! Vicki used painter’s tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the tribal pattern in a metallic craft paint. After the pattern was painted, she would lift the stencil and reposition it until she was happy with the look.
Next we’d like to introduce Alli Renee, the crafty gal behind the Alli Renee Blog. Alli Renee has been updating her front porch with one DIY project at a time. She won a free stencil in one of our stencil giveaways and chose our Sophia Trellis Allover Stencil, a new Moroccan pattern. She was super excited to use it to spruce up the entrance of her home especially because she had a beat up doormat that needed some love. Alli Renee taped the trellis pattern to the doormat and then used a dense foam roller to paint the pattern in white. It was that simple! She commented, “Super easy and inexpensive!”
