Cutting Edge Stencils Shares Stenciled Black and White Home Decor and Room Ideas
Good morning, my home decor trendsetters! Have you noticed that the classic black and white color combination seems to be even more popular this fall? “While the trusty, always-chic combo of black and white is a mainstay of the runways, the Fall 2013 shows had more of this classic pair than usual,” notes Elle Decor. Here is how some well known designers utilized this chic color combo.

Gorgeous, right? It’s the next part that has us giddy with glee. Don’t get us wrong, Cutting Edge Stencils loves a good fashion trend but we enjoy it even more when it translates into home decor. Elle Decor goes on to mention, ” On the home front, designers have continually reinvented the color combination by playing with textures, shades, and more.” Now if by “more” they mean stenciling a fab pattern in your space then we totally support this statement! We love the idea of stenciling high contrast colors like black and white. Take this roundup of black and white items found on BHG as a prime example.

There’s something chic about adding a black and white stencil to your room decor. Here is some stenciled inspiration to help you decide if this is a trend for you.
Now you might remember when we showed you this black and white stunner in our A Passion For Pattern post. Kelle and Nick nailed the color trend with the use of our Trellis Allover Stencil. Gorgeous!
Let’s back up a bit. Just in case the Trellis stenciled space above is a bit too bold for your liking, consider introducing the black and white scheme using home decor accessories, like wall art. Valentine, from DoodlePants Design, an Etsy seller, used our Chandelier Wall Stencil on a piece of canvas to create this beauty. You can easily recreate this using our stencil with Benjamin Moore’s old prairie 2143-50 over jet black 2120-10 or check out her store.
See that old table in the garage that you’ve been thinking about stenciling? We found the perfect piece of inspiration on Pinterest! Susan revived this dated item using our Antico Stencil in a creamy shade of white over her black painted table. To get this gorgeous look, try using Benjamin Moore’s black satin 2131-10 and then stenciling your pattern in snow white 2122-70.
Are you loving the black and white stencil trend yet? Good, we hoped you would. Ok, now we want you to meet ToriAnn Marie, one of fab Pinterest fans and her stunning black and white bedroom wall. She painted a black accent wall and then stenciled the Marrakech Trellis design to add some patterned depth. We love it!
Here is another stunning example designed by Yveline & Associate. She painted our Chevron Allover Stencil in black and white and then complemented the space with a soft metallic green! We think its a very pretty combination.
Black and white is also the perfect combo for a small accent wall just like Anna’s space below. She gave her plain white wall a facelift using our Casablanca pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore’s blacktop 2135-10. Super stylish!
