Stencils Add A Special Touch To Your Holiday Home Decor
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Have you been enjoying all of the DIY Holiday craft projects we’ve been sharing this week? We thought you would! Using stencils to make DIY home decor projects for the Holidays is easy to do and they add that special home-made touch to a home or gift. We have teamed with Stephanie, from Casa Watkins, on a stenciled craft challenge to help ignite your creativity. Come take a look…
What is the Create & Share: Holiday Stenciled Craft Challenge? Each month Stephanie holds a Create & Share competition where she challenges her super creative blogger pals to a friendly little craft-off. This month they chose to partner with Cutting Edge Stencils using our Holiday Craft Stencils. Each participant was tasked with creating a unique home decor project. The projects are in and the results are full of Holiday cheer! Be sure to check out the DIY projects and enter the special stencil giveaway.
This week we will be sharing the projects on our blog and providing links to all of the participating bloggers so feel free be inspired by their creativity.
Project #1: Stenciled Copper Leaf Noel Basket
Meet Kathy, the DIY decorator from Up To Date Interiors. She was browsing her local dollar store when she spotted a cute white basket. Kathy decided to give it some holiday spirit using our Noel Script Craft Stencil. She purchased a piece of mdf board and stenciled the pattern using mod podge and copper leaf. It added the perfect amount of sparkle to the once plain basket. Kathy had this to say about her project, ” I love the diversity of this Christmas decor. I may be moving it around the house during the month. It makes such pretty storage!”
Project #2: Stenciled Rustic Reindeer Wall Art
Next up we have Emily, the DIY talent behind Our House Now A Home. Emily instantly fell in love with our Reindeer Craft Stencil and felt it would be perfect for a wall art project she had in mind. She purchased a piece of canvas board and painted the whimsical deer pattern in red, turquoise, and gray. To complete its rustic look, she added twigs to frame the wall art. Emily commented, ” This rustic reindeer wall art is yet another craft I get to add to my Christmas decor. Making this space feel casual and of course whimsical. I love the whimsy feel this time of year.”
Project #3: Ornament Stenciled Framed Art
We’d like to welcome back Meg, the creative DIY blogger behind Green With Decor. Meg has a recent obsession with making over old frames. She spotted a rectangular shaped frame in Goodwill and knew our Christmas Ornaments Craft Stencil would be cheerful and fun. Check out her blog to see how she transformed an old frame into this merry Christmas decor and be sure to enter our stencil giveaway.
Project #4: Stenciled Chalkboard Door Hanger
Let’s give a warm hello to Amanda, the creative DIYer behind Old House To New Home. For the Holiday Craft Challenge, Amanda decided to stencil a festive door hanger using our Christmas Ornaments Card Stencil. She bought an ornament shaped chalkboard sign from a local craft store and used chalk pens to stencil the pretty pattern. Now she welcomes her guests with a merry and bright message!
Project #5: Stenciled Scrap Wood Holiday Art
Let’s say hello to Stephanie, the clever DIYer behind One Mile Home Style. Stephanie jumped at participating in the craft challenge. She had a stock pile of wood blocks and this clever DIYer had the ideal Christmas project in mind! She selected our Scroll Christmas Tree Craft Stencil and used a clamp to hold three small wooden blocks together while she painted the pattern. This Christmas cutie was the result. Stephanie had this to say about her project, ” It’s such a fun little rustic touch to our Christmas decor, and it was so easy to make! ”
