Yellow and Gray Color Play
Can you not get enough of the yellow and gray color combinations popping up everywhere lately? If you answered “yes” welcome aboard. Recently Greg and Janna stenciled the Chrysanthemum Grande flower stencil in their hang out space. When they posted an image on the Cutting Edge Stencils Facebook page, there was a huge response! Not surprisingly, there is a growing trend in home decor and fashion to combine the neutral and versatile gray, with lively and warm yellow tones. It goes back to the basics of yin and yang; finding that perfect balance between two colors and the emotions they evoke when entering a space.
Stencil and Color Combinations
What better balance of colors than yellow and gray? On Color Chats, Benjamin Moore’s blog, MICHELLE ZAKKO recently wrote an article about gray and yellow color combinations and she suggests a number of gorgeous Benjamin Moore yellow and gray colors to use. We highly recommend stopping by Color Chats and taking a look at some more beautiful yellow and gray color combinations including lovely home decor pieces and of course wall paint colors. Once you have decided on your colors, you can purchase the perfect stencil by browsing our extensive collection of stencils.
Stenciled Feature Wall
Greg and Janna love their new Chrysanthemum Grande stencil feature wall. “It only took us a couple of hours and has really changed the whole feel of the room,” says Janna, “We wanted to create a space that was fun but also where we could just relax; gray and yellow represent both of those feelings so nicely and also just look beautiful together.” To get a similar look as Greg and Janna’s feature wall, use Modern Master Champagne metallic paint (look for this at your local Benjamin Moore location), Benjamin Moore Yolk 2023-10 for the yellow flowers and Sea Haze 2137-40 for the gray flowers.
