Paint-A-Pillow Is A Unique Birthday Party Idea
Good morning, my crafty friends! Are you planning a birthday party and are completely stumped on an activity or theme? Before you bore your friends with one more bowling party, Cutting Edge Stencils has a fun idea for you! We want you to consider hosting a Paint-A-Pillow party. It’s the perfect social activity to enjoy with your friends while you celebrate a fun occasion. In fact this stencil fun is not limited to just adult or kid birthday parties. It also makes a great fundraiser, girl’s night in, or PTA gathering. The list goes on! It’s easy to set up, and best of all, inexpensive! Using the Paint-A-Pillow party pack, you and your pals will create fabulous accent pillows in a snap. Let’s see how one fab fan used it to create a very memorable birthday party.
Recently one of our Paint-A-Pillow fans, Angelique contacted our office because she was hosting a birthday party for her daughter. Rather than throw a traditional birthday party, she wanted to try something creative. She was looking for a fun yet unique activity that would engage women of various ages. Who doesn’t want to host a party that is talked about for weeks after it occurs? Well Angelique had come to the right spot! She selected a date for the crafty birthday celebration. Then she invited her guests and asked each one to visit the Paint-A-Pillow website (www.paintapillow.com) to pick their pillow stencil, type of cover, and paint color. Once she had all of the information, she called our office to place her order for her party pack.

The party pack kit comes with everything for six people to complete the project including the frames, stencil, pillow cover, pillow inserts, fabric paint, roller, a brush, and a paint tray. For this event, Angelique had about 14 attendees so we helped her customize the party pack to meet her needs.
The day of her event, Angelique set up a painting station in her dining room.

Looks like so much fun, right? Now let’s check out their fabulous creations. After all of the pillows were dry, the group gathered for a picture.
These happy gals painted some pretty pillows. On the left is a Gabrielle Damask stenciled accent pillow in ruby red and an Ikat Saida painted pillow in navy blue. Over on the right are two beautiful nature-inspired accent pillows, the Poppy Field pattern, and the Sakura and Butterflies pattern.
And we can’t forget these eye-catching beauties. On the left is a Zamira stenciled accent pillow in violet and another pretty Poppy Field. The birthday girl herself painted a sea-inspired pattern, the Anchors Away.
We see a lot of smiles so we’re willing to make a bet that the guests really enjoyed this creative birthday party!
