How To Stencil A Porch Sign Using Quote Stencils
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends. Decorating with stencils allows you to customize your home with DIY accents that transform your space on a budget. Lacking a wall doesn’t mean you need to eliminate your plans to paint the wall stencils that you’ve been lusting after. Stenciling wall art is easy and super affordable. Today, we’re going to share how a DIY blogger used one of our quote stencils to create a heart felt message to decorate her porch for the Fall.
We’d like to welcome Paula, the clever crafter blogger Virginia Sweet Pea. Paula fell in love with our Home Is Where The Heart Is Stencil Quote stencil. Unfortunately she didn’t have a suitable wall to paint it on so she decided canvas art was the way to go. Paula grabbed a left over piece of canvas board and set up her supplies.
She painted the blank canvas gray using craft paint. Once the paint was dry, she was ready to stencil. Paula planned on painting the wording in white and the heart in red.
She used blue painter’s tape to hold the stencil in place and stencil brush to paint the pattern.
After the stencil was dry, Paula chose to hang her DIY stenciled art outside on her porch. She commented, “I put my sign on my porch where I can enjoy it every time I enter or leave my home. My sign can be seen from the street and several neighbors have told me that they like it. ”
