Use Mandala Stencils To Decorate Your Home With Boho Chic Style
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Not only has the Boho Chic trend been evident in fashion, but it is also becoming evident in home decor. As a part of this trend we are spotting beautiful Mandala patterns being used in home decorating. Our stencil patterns make introducing this stylish trend super easy and affordable. Here is how one crafty blogger used the Prosperity Mandala Pattern to create a decorative accent for her home. Come be inspired…
We’d like to welcome back Kammy, the creative blogger and furniture makeover queen behind the blog Kammy’s Korner. A long time ago, Kammy had picked up a small black tripod table from a local garage sale Here is what the table looked like before:
Kammy saw a ton of potential in this tripod table. She removed the table top from the tripod base. For step by step instructions, please visit her blog Kammy’s Korner. We’re going to talk about the fun part, stenciling!
Kammy had used Prosperity Mandala Stencil on several DIY decorating projects. After each project, she would rinse off her reusable stencil and put it aside for the next one. This 24 inch mandala pattern represents Opulence, Luxury and the Good Life and is perfect for so many DIY projects.
With her Mandala pattern in hand, Kammy thought it would be beautiful stenciled on this old table top! She painted the tabletop a navy blue color. Then she placed the stencil centered on the top. Kammy used blue painter’s tape to adhere the stencil to the wood. Then she painted the stencil design in white using a dense foam roller. If you are recreating this project at home, be sure to roll off extra paint so it doesn’t bleed under the stencil. The key to stenciling is using very little paint.
Once the mandala stencil was dry, Kammy placed the decorative accent on her kitchen table. She had left metal hardware on the bottom of the table so that the centerpiece didn’t sit directly on the wood table. Are you ready to see how her creative project turned out? Here is her stenciled centerpiece.
Kammy had this to say about her stencil project, “I think I’ll also add a hook to the back so it can be hung on a wall. Hello gorgeous round wall decor! ” We think that’s a great idea!
