What is Reclaimed Wood?
According to Wikipedia, reclaimed lumber is wood taken for re-use. Most reclaimed lumber comes from timbers and decking rescued from old barns, factories and warehouses although some companies use wood from less traditional structures such as boxcars, coal mines and wine barrels. So reclaimed wood art is basically re-using lumber that you may already have to create a decorative piece of art in your house. Sounds pretty awesome, doesn’t it?

Why is Reclaimed Wood Art So Popular?
Using reclaimed wood not only decreases what goes into our landfills, but it brings a bit of history, texture, interest, and warmth to an interior space. It’s also super inexpensive and quite simple to make yourself especially when using one of our stencils, like a Wall Quote Stencils.
